On Wednesday, October 22, the Pulp & Paper Foundation hosted the 3rd Annual Foundation Golf Tournament at the Crooked Creek Golf Club. 14 teams competed, with a total of 56 individuals participating. Players included alumni, Foundation members, program supporters, and PSE students, faculty and staff. It was a beautiful autumn day, spirits were high, and the level of fellowship was outstanding.
The original concept for the golf tournament was that it would serve not only as a good social event associated with the annual meeting of the Foundation, but that it would also help to raise valuable funds for scholarships and PSE student activities. This year's event raised over $12,000. Most of the funds will go into the scholarship fund; some will go to the student TAPPI chapter, and some will be used to support the upcoming Paper International Experience trip to Chile.
