Despite the recent economic downturn, we have just completed another successful recruiting season for Paper Science & Engineering. This fall, 26 companies conducted interviews on our site, with another 12 or so making external requests for resumes. The companies included paper and board manufacturers, converters, and suppliers (chemicals and equipment). 224 student interviews were conducted on site. Offers for permanent hires, summer interns, and semester co-ops were abundant. Starting salaries and signing bonuses continued to rise. It's a good time to be graduating from our program!
Pat Hill, our Student Services Assistant in charge of job placement, says its not too late to come by and interview PSE students for all types of jobs -- good candidates are still available!
